Walk, Yoga, Meditate & Chocolate FAQ's

  1.  Where are we meeting at the park?  Park at Bates House parking lot. The registration/check-in table is inside of the Bates House.
  2. What should we bring?  Yoga mats (or towels), water, bug spray (if necessary)
  3. While we are walking, where can I keep my yoga mat?  You can place your yoga mat in the space we will be hosting the yoga. There will be a Community Growth Center employee remain in the building during the walk.
  4. How long is each activity?  The walk is 30 minutes, yoga is about 40 minutes and the meditation is 10 minutes. Please allocate 1 ½ hours total for the entire event which allows for some flexibility on the timing for each activity.
  5. Is the yoga geared towards beginners?  All the activities are casual and geared to the average person. The experience is designed to be enjoyable and stress-reducing.
  6. What if I don't have a yoga mat? Please indicate that you do not have a yoga mat when completing the registration form below. We have a limited amount of mats we can lend each week. You can also bring a towel or blanket to use if you don't have a mat.
  7. Can I bring my children?  Yes, mature children who can participate or sit quietly through yoga and meditation are welcome to join.
  8. What happens if there is inclement weather? On nights there is snow, rain or temperatures are too cold, the walking section will be cancelled. If the event has to be canceled due to unsafe driving conditions, you will receive an email update in the day of the event.
